Case Studies
Ashdod Medical Center
In 2006, Refua VeYeshua, a grassroots medical referral organization, undertook an ambitious, but critically important venture to establish the Ashdod Emergency Medical Center (AMC). The state-of-the art facility was to be the only hospital to serve Israel’s fifth largest city, with close to 250,000 residents.
As part of the project, the AMC team needed to create public relations literature, compile infrastructure and equipment documentation, and communicate with donors and vendors around the world. Since the inception of the project, AQText handles a constant stream of AMC medical and marketing materials in half a dozen languages, often working on 24 to 48 hour deadlines.
The Legal Forum for the Land of Israel
Established in 2004, the Legal Forum for the Land of Israel has emerged as one of the most active and influential organizations dedicated to human rights, clean government, and national integrity of the State of Israel. Its membership consists of several hundred attorneys and scholars from around the world.
In 2006, the Legal Forum employed AQText to provide real-time translation and cultural consulting services for all of its international communications needs. Our translators dealt smoothly with late-night emails, urgent PowerPoint presentations, and complex drafts of law bills.
As the project developed, AQText was also hired by some of the Legal Forum’s affiliates, such as Green Now, an environmental conservation group, and Tadmit, the Forum’s media monitoring department.
Otzar HaHochma
Otzar HaHochma’s revolutionary technology allows users to search some 35,000 ancient and modern titles in the field of Judaic studies, and to view the results in their original layout.
What started out as a small request to translate several letters, developed into a complex software localization project in half a dozen languages. As part of the project, AQText compiled glossaries, localized interfaces, and translated user manuals into English, German, French, Spanish, and Russian. The 70,000-word project was completed within one month.
After the release of the localized program, AQtext also handled the translation of Otzar HaHochma’s marketing and customer care materials.
